Privacy policy

This page explains what the site collects, why, how long it is kept and how you stay in control of it. Nothing is collected until you send the contact form.

What is collected

The form records three things: your name, your email address and the content of your message. Nothing else is asked of you and there is no account to create.

All three fields are required: without your name, your email address and your message I cannot reply, and the form will not send. You are never obliged to use the form, and nothing is recorded until you send it.

To tell a human submission from an automated one, the form uses Turnstile, a Cloudflare service. That check processes your IP address and some technical information about your browser, for security purposes only.

Why, and on what legal basis

Your contact details and message are used solely to reply to you.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in handling enquiries that reach me through the site, under article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. That interest is limited to replying to you and implies no other use. The tick box on the form is not a consent: it confirms that you have read this page.

The anti-spam check rests on that same legitimate interest, applied to protecting the form from automated submissions.

Who else has access

Nobody else reads your messages. Two technical providers are involved in delivering them: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, provides the Turnstile check and passes the message to my mailbox, and my email provider, where the message is then stored.

No data is sold, exchanged or used for commercial or advertising purposes. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.

Cloudflare is a company established in the United States. Transfers outside the European Union are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long it is kept

Messages received through the form are kept for twelve months and then deleted, if no follow-up has begun.

If we start working together, your data then belongs to the clinical record and follows its own retention rules.

Sensitive information and professional confidentiality

The form is not a consultation. You are asked not to write medical, clinical or urgent information in it.

If your message contains such information anyway, it remains covered by the professional confidentiality I am bound by under article 226-13 of the French penal code, and is shared with nobody.

In an emergency, contact the emergency services in your country.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no analytics trackers. Turnstile is a security measure, necessary for the form to work.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Since the processing rests on legitimate interest, you can object at any time and I will delete your message.

You can exercise them by contacting me through the form on this site. I reply within one month.

Complaints

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or www.cnil.fr.
